What does an electrician do?
Electricians create electrical installations for household, agriculture, trade and industry. They are also responsible for the technical maintenance of existing systems.
They work in customer service and/or construction and conversion projects. They know their way around challenging building services and automation control systems. Thanks to their extensive training, they are also able to work comfortably with more complex systems, e.g. in the field of telecommunications or the parametrisation of automated building management systems and lighting systems. Their tasks also include the creation of renewable energy generation systems such as photovoltaic systems, state-of-the-art heat pump systems and measurement equipment. Using state-of-the-art measurement equipment, they check and inspect electrical systems in line with the current rules of technology.
They locate and eliminate faults, repair and maintain electrical installations and systems.
To sum up: You are the go-to person for everything from lighting, building automation and communication systems to photovoltaic systems. You advise customers, configure software and keep things running smoothly.
