Together with its partner companies, Bouygues Energies & Services has developed a practical and proven solution based on internal company resources and synergies for an efficient access management tool on construction sites.
The major construction site Kriens-Nidfeld is a busy place. Around 500 staff require fast and easy access to the site throughout the seven-year construction period. Many employees arrive at work at once. To ensure security on the construction site, and prevent unauthorised persons entering, a simple and efficient personnel management tool and fast identification of authorised personnel is required.
To meet the special requirements on construction sites, Bouygues Energies & Services developed a sophisticated solution. The specialists from the security department have combined the access control system AEOS from globally operating company Nedap Security Management with the facial recognition solution FTF. For access management on site, a container was re-purposed and equipped with security hardware. FTF ultimately integrated the solution for facial recognition into the AEOS software.
Fast, accurate system
In addition to guaranteeing fast, efficient access control, the solution is also able to contribute towards occupational safety. Thanks to the optional hard-hat recognition, only personnel wearing hard hats will be permitted access. The facial recognition works quickly and is very accurate. It can also be used to prevent illicit employment and to implement compliance with regulations. The containers are flexible and can be simply and quickly transported to the next place of use.
